Following lengthy discussions, detailed review and careful consideration of all options and alternatives, the organisers and sponsors of the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon have confirmed the cancellation of the 2020 event.
Runners whose half marathon dreams have been dashed by the global COVID-19 pandemic can lace up and start training again, following the exciting launch of the Sanlam Cape Town Virtual Half Marathon.
The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon race organisers are adding a virtual version of the iconic city marathon to its existing bouquet of events, offering an interactive and immersive race experience for athletes across the globe.
