The City of Cape Town endorses the safe participation of runners and spectators in the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon events. Several road closures will take place over the 22nd and 23rd of September.
FINISH AREA – for all races
VLEI ROAD AND SHARED FIELDS, GREEN POINT
The finish area for all races takes place in Vlei Road, Green Point – GPS Co-ordinates: 33°54’21.07”S; 18°24’25.21”E
The finish area offers the following facilities:
- Food and refreshment vendors
- Mitchells Brewery
- Mediclinic Medical Tent
- Fedhealth and Deep Heat Massage Tent
- VIP and Corporate Hospitality
- Century City Conference Centre Media / Press Tent
- Pickfords Tog Bag Facilities
- Club and Charity Gazebo’s
- Live Commentary, TV Coverage on Big Screen
Prize giving will be for the top three men and women directly after the top three winners have finished. All other prizes (including team prizes and age group prizes) will be awarded later electronically and individually.
ACCESS INTO RESTRICTED FINISH AREA
As per IAAF standards no team managers or unauthorised officials will be allowed into the finish area. This will be strictly enforced.
Please note that due to the severe water restrictions being experienced in Cape Town, there will be no shower facilities. We hope you understand.
